Aunt Shelly gave Brady a Sno-cone machine. Oh boy, is it ever so fun! "Would you like some?" "MMMMM, so yummy!" "SLUURRRPPP, AHHHHH", every last drop! "Hey, I'm over here, don't forget me!"
Grandma with her cousin Ed. Kayley Alice spending time with Great-Grandma Alice. Grandma Janese with Baby Ryah. "This little piggy went to the market..." We know who baby Ryah get's her good looks from!
Uncle Lynn, Brady and Tony - playing ball! The guy in the corner - not sure who he is - but he is there every year!!! Just jokin' unc! We love you! He actually looks a lot like my dad. "Oh no, I've got sand in my nail's" - Brady with all of his girly influence!
A very deep political conversation - You do NOT want to get involved with these two! My cousin Eric and my dad solving the world's problems, one jab at a time!
One of my best friends came to visit with her almost 9 month old - little Kellen. He has the best eyes and eye lashes, with the cutest little dimples, just like his mama! - what a ladies man!
Thanks Angie for spending the day with us! We love you!
Although we would have liked them to stay longer - we had such a great visit with them yesterday! This was their first trip back to Oregon since they left Corvallis, 6 years ago!
Mike and I worked for an after school program at an elementary school in Corvallis about 8 years ago (wow, where has time gone? that just aged us!). "Kel", as Brady called her, worked for the preschool program at that same school. Well, must have been love at first sight because the rest is history for them! I like to say I was there from the beginning! What an incredible family! But, unfortunately for us, they don't like to stay in one spot for too long. Corvallis to Denver, to Colorado Springs and now residing in New York - they have gotten just about as far away as they can get.
Brady had so much fun playing with Kai, who is about 4 months older than Brady. He couldn't stop talking about Kai and Kel and Mike after they left. We love you guys, wish you were closer, but a trip to New York doesn't sound that bad! Wish we could have gotten some pictures of her belly - she is one of the cutest prego ladies I have ever seen! We wish you a safe trip home and can't wait to play with you again Kai!!! (Sorry Mike and Tony - I guess you guys were left out of the photo shoot!)
Brady loves baby Kayley! He kisses her and wants to hold her ALL the time! He is a great little helper, especially during diaper changes!
This is our new baby cousin Rachel Grace Verkest! She was born July 9th weighing in at 7 lbs 9 oz. and 20 inches long. Another Girl!! Poor Lil' B! 7 girl cousins and a sister - Time for some more boys! Kayley and Rachel are going to be great friends growing up! We are so excited! Congratulations Scott, Amy and Abigail!
